My contribution to the “White Elephant” exhibition, curated by @off.topic.group, part of Tel Aviv Illustration Week. The illustrations were presented in huge lightboxes in the deserted cinema of the terrifying Tel Aviv Central Station.

An overly-enthusiastic father/believer, Abraham, wakes up one morning and knows that he must sacrifice his son. God is proud of Abraham, but what will be with the intense trauma that Isaac will face?

As a child my family moved around a lot. When I was 4 I lived in an apartment in Tel Aviv and only have a handful of very vague memories on which to base this illustration on. I tried to use this haziness of memory in the drawing style.
